MacOS Tahoe 26 Compatible Mac
How can I tell if my IMac is able to get this?
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15
How can I tell if my IMac is able to get this?
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15
Do you see the Apple Menu on the upper left corner of the screen ?
Click on the Apple Menu > About this Mac > This should give you overview of the Mac details including the year model. Identify your iMac model - Apple Support
Once you got the year model you can compare it on the website OS - macOS Tahoe 26 - Apple
Your tag line says iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15.
If that is the Mac you are asking about, it will not get macOS 26. Only a few Intel-based Macs will - and no 21.5” iMacs are among them.
Whether you can upgrade to Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma, and/ot Sequoia will depend on the hardware model year of that iMac. If it is old enough, it might not be possible to upgrade it past Catalina at all.
Compatible Macs are listed near the bottom of that web page.
Choose "About This Mac" from the Apple menu. It will list the year.
that is not Intel it shows M1 - meaning it is using Apple silicon
Definitely your device is compatible with the macOS Tahoe 26
But it is not officially release so make sure you wait as we do not want you to install beta software - this is for testing purposes.
That’s a 24” M1 iMac that is running macOS 15 (Sequoia) and that has an Apple Silicon processor.
It’s the first Apple Silicon iMac and the successor to Intel-based 21.5” iMacs like the one shown in your tag line. macOS 15 (Sequoia) is quite a bit newer than macOS 10.15 (Catalina). You’ll be fine.
Re: “You tell me not and others say yes?”
when I replied, you had not posted a screenshot of the About This Mac dialog. The only identification you had given us was in your tag line, and it was a partial identification for a different, older Mac than the one you later told us that you had, and a different, older version of macOS than the one you later told us that you had. Usually we need a hardware model year to determine compatibility, but in this case there was no way that any Mac matching the one you described in your tag line could run Tahoe.
No, thank you, hey can you look at my other issue

You will need a 2020 iMac or later.
FWIW, I read the info from the site so you didn't have to. 😎
How can I tell which one is mine?
I do not know mine model and year is?
How can I tell my model and if is intel or other.
You'll be able to run macOS Tahoe when it's released in the Fall.
