How do I switch between multiple user accounts on Mac mini?

I just set up another user account on my Mac mini Sonoma 14.5. Now I can't get back to my original account. When I sign out of the new account, all I get is a screen with the photo of the vineyard. I was expecting a choice of all my accounts, as happens on my wife's MacBook. What am I doing wrong?
