iOS 26 won't show in my iPhone's update

If you're not a registered developer, it's not available for user testing at this time. Public Beta testing won't start for weeks at this point. You of course know that you should NEVER put beta software on your primary device, right?

No offense to you but if you don’t even know that iOS 26 hasn’t been released yet, is only in beta for developers or how to register as a developer, it’s not for you.

iOS 26 developer betas are for

• Helping Apple to find bugs in iOS
• Helping developers to get their apps ready to work with the new version of iOS when it comes out

They may be incomplete and full of major bugs that would make them unusable – including data destroying bugs, and bugs that break apps that people rely on every day.

These forums are full of threads started by people who installed the developer beta without much thought – and regretted it. And presumably regretted it more once they learned that their failure to make any archived backups made it impossible to go back to iOS 18.5 without losing data.
