iCloud says photos will be deleted!

If you use iCloud Photos then

All your pictures will be stored at iCloud.com

If you use "Optimize Storage" then

Some or all of your original picture files will be removed from your phone so that your phone can save space by having only smaller preview sized pictures. It works fine, and you may never notice that the full sized files aren't there.

If you use "Optimize Storage," and you turn off iCloud, then

Your phone won't have the full sized originals, so the previews will be erased, since that are no longer useful.

All of your pictures will continue to be stored at iCloud.com for at least a month.

If you never used "Optimize," and then you turn off iCloud, then

All your pictures will remain on the phone.
