If you have Settings>Apple ID>iCloud Backup turned on, then backups continue getting made, and they are each deleted after 30 days.

No, it is on the front page of settings, just below my name. I’m not sure why it’s happened, though someone else in the family was around with the phone. I assume it’s no biggie if it does delete, I just back up again but I want to know if there might be any complications.

I think that I would check
https://account.apple.com/account/manage/section/devices
to see if any new devices are using the account. Just in case…
Where did you see this? Were there links to click on in this message?
iCloud Backups are usually held for about 30 days, so nothing too odd, there.
I have looked and nothing out of the ordinary there. My main issue is will the deletion cause me problems?
