What to do if iPhone 16e has no signal on giffgaff?

I’ve just bought an iPhone 16e, the WiFi calling works, but it is not finding a network signal- so if I leave the house I can’t use my phone. I’ve done the standard troubleshooting, restarted the phone, reset the phone, reset network settings, checked carrier updates, removed sim etc, but no luck. Sim worked fine in my old phone. Getting incredibly annoyed at having nothing but a paperweight at the moment

Well you should be annoyed at GiffGaff since you pay them a monthly service to use their cellular data.

Report the issue to their support.

They went through all the carrier settings with me to make sure they were correct and checked my sim that it was working as it should. All was fine. Sorted now, the issue was with the phone, although neither Apple or EE (the original network provider) could work out exactly what was causing it.

What was the issue with the iPhone that was the cause of the problem? It is not uncommon to have a previous carrier lock their Network to the device, but not sure if that was the issue. There is nothing on your device that you can do to solve the problem, the carrier needs to remove the lock and not something Apple can do.
