Some songs are grayed out with an iCloud symbol on MacBook Pro

In some self recorded playlists some songs are grayed out with a cloud symbol appearing.

There appears to be no rhyme or reason for the ones that aren't available to play. It will be one out of 11 or four out of 12.

Song disappears when dragged to Apple Music I drag a song into a playlist. I get the "playlist removed from iCloud" warning. The song momentarily appears in the playlist but then disappears. Make it stop.
