Delayed Apple Watch notifications when iPhone is left behind

Hi I’m new user to iPhone and generally to iOS . I have a problem with notification when leaving or forgetting my iPhone . I did all the settings in order to get notified on my watch when leaving my iPhone but the notifications come very late . For example if I leave my phone the notification will come after 15 minutes . In. My previous android system the watch would notify me when I was out of Bluetooth range . Can someone give solution?

If this is only a Wi-Fi model Apple Watch or you do not have a cellular plan, your Apple Watch must be near your iPhone in Bluetooth range to receive notifications, or be on a Wi-Fi network. Your Apple Watch will notify you if you have left your iPhone behind, which will occur when it is out of range, if you have that enabled. By the way, notifications will go to either your Apple Watch or iPhone, but never both at the same time. If your iPhone is on, they go there. If your iPhone is off, notifications always go to your Watch. Because your Apple Watch is out of range notifications wouldn't be able to be delivered to it and would be delayed until you are within connection.

First of all I would like to thank you for your quick answer. So if I understand this correctly if I leave my phone when it is on ,the notification when the watch is out of range ,will go to my phone. That way I will not get notice in my watch unless the phone is off . I think that this way the notifications are useless in order to avoid leaving your phone or forgetting it .
