junk email notifications on iPhone and Apple Watch

I don't remember it being like this before but nowadays I find that I get a lot of notifications on my Iphones screen and my Apple Watch that are email that are ending up in my Junk mail folder. I also get the email that ends up in my Inbox but I really don't want to know when I get junk mail. How do I stop this?

My iPhone is on iOS 18.5 and my watch is on 11.5.
