As user JeandreJNS kindly points out you need to clarify. Whenever you put an email in Trash, Junk, or a folder you created you will see the “moving messages” notification at the bottom of the sidebar. If that notification takes a long time to close or never closes at all then it usually means there’s a server problem at your email provider’s end.
Mail does not move messages anywhere on its own, except to the Junk folder using rules, or to a user folder using rules the user set up.
Just to clarify, is Mail automatically moving messages to folders, or is it indicating at the bottom left that it is constantly busy moving messages?
Thanks!
It always says Moving messages and today shows 4 of 124 and for last 15 minutes still says that as if no progress -
I will look again in an hour and see if it still says moving messages 4 of 124
