How do I stop repeated single-letter spam texts from unknown numbers?

Every minute I receive multiple texts from different unknown numbers with a single letter in the text. I’ve received 30 texts in two hours. This has been happening for 3 weeks. Verizon said all I can do is delete and report junk

The only thing I can recommend:

Open Settings ➢ Apps ➢ Messages, then click the switch for iMessage = off.

Don’t turn it on for a few days.

Those scammers will notice that you no longer exist.
