Where is the toggle to include Messages in iCloud backups on iOS 18?

I no longer see a toggle to switch on or off the inclusion of Messages in iCloud backups,(not to be confused with Messages in iCloud which is a different feature!).

Does this mean that Messages are included in iCloud backups by default, (at least for iOS18)?

The toggle to include iMessages in backups were removed a few updates ago, it means they are automatically stored in backups. If you have iMessages in iCloud turned on, they are synced instead. But both still store your messages in iCloud, just in different ways.

The only toggle I've seen it to enable icloud message, Set up iCloud for Messages on all your devices - Apple Support

Never seen that option in Apple supported link What does iCloud back up? - Apple Support

imessage, sms, mms has always been part of the icloud/itunes backup, UNLESS you enable icloud message.
