How do I fix search function issue in Apple Music on iMac?

I’m experiencing issues with the search function in Apple Music on my iMac. I have a large local music library, and I primarily use the search feature to find songs within it. I always ensure that 'Library' is selected in the search filter.

However, the results are inconsistent — sometimes a search returns nothing, and then trying the exact same search a minute later produces results. I’ve tried refreshing, restarting, and even rebuilding parts of my library, but the behavior remains unpredictable. This is only one example of many.

Is this a known issue? Are there any fixes or recommended workarounds?
