Why isn’t my Apple Music library shuffling properly anymore on iPhone?

It’s set on shuffle, but it seems to be going on “history played”, so much I can name the next song to play. Some songs have played 350 times while other songs 22 times! Updates ago… I cleared the play history and that helped, now I can’t get to it. Help!

Initially it was only one song on one playlist (a Made for You curated playlist) but now it’s random songs throughout my library— old, new, doesn’t matter. Apple Music Only Shuffling 100 Songs Per Playlist Since reluctantly updating from iOS 15 to the most recent iOS 16, my Apple Music playlists will only shuffle one hundred songs at a time even though some of my individual playlists range anywhere from 300 to 500 songs. So hundreds of songs in my playlists are not being picked up to play when using the shuffle function. This specifically started a few days ago after I begrudgingly downloaded and installed the new iOS 16 update. I literally was just listening to full playlists in shuffle mode just a week or two back (during Christmas 2022) before the new iOS install. Is this a bug Apple refuses to acknowledge or is this intentional? This issue is occurring simultaneously on both my iPhone 13 and on my laptop with Apple Music. I’ve shut my phone off and on, I’ve downloaded the latest software update iOS 16.2, I’ve synced everything and shuffle is still only just picking up a hundred songs when shuffling. What’s the deal Apple???

why is apple music only shuffling my first 100 songs? Apple music on its website on my school computer is weird, like it only plays/shuffles the first 100 songs on my playlist. I have to play the next 100 songs manually because it won’t shuffle them. does anyone else have this problem? Can you actually fix this? (ignore the device, it wouldn’t let me change it lol)
