I have activated my Apple intelligence, and my software is updated to 18.5 but when I press the side button, I don’t get the edge lighting? Can anyone tell me why?

Do you have your apple intelligence turned on?
Yes I have it on, I have plenty of storage, I have changed the language to u.s and the regional settings. I have turned my phone off and on too, still not working?
You may have to reset your phone but contact Apple support first. They maybe able to give you another solution.
