Why does a particular file in Pages keep quitting on iPad Pro?

On iPad (Pro 12.9” 6th gen, iPadOS 18.4.1), Pages (14.4) won’t open a particular file; after some seconds, Pages quits. I duplicated the file (possibly removing corruption) and the duplicate opens OK and appears normal. I renamed the bad file and (as expected) the renamed file won’t open. I don’t recall this happening before; is it happening to others?

Check for iOS and app updates including to iOS 18.5, and try opening the file again.

If that fails, the file itself may be corrupt.
