Music is missing/disappearing from my library, but can't find in purchased

I have to download my music so i can put it onto my ipod. But I noticed that a lot of music is missing, when I contacted apple they said that I have to go through my purchase history and send them the receipt number and date.

I don't have the time to go through them and find it as there are so many to find. Is there anything i can do?
