my hdd is showing 3 hdd same name, but non existant
My iMac 2014 27" model is showing 3 extra hdd in finder, all identical in size and name, but there is physically only one drive. It is a 1tb with 128 ssd Fusion Drive. If I boot into recovery mode with an option key there are 4 hard drives showing and I can't delete them. I was hoping to rehome my iMac but it would be confusing for the users . This problem has occurred recently , but when is unknown. It works beautifully other wise and has been a brilliant machine. Do I just bite the bullet and replace the HDD with a SSD , this is a last resort effort for me though , I don't want to open it up, spending money on an SSD and sensor and new sealant kit just to give it away! It won't allow me to usb boot into GParted , which could delete the ghosts, so I don't know any other cure.
