Garageband instrument keeps going out of tune

Ok I think the issue I am having is due to the modulation being set too low which makes it too sensitive.The solution for me was to increase the modulation about half way and then the pitch remains as expected.

Beginner user error.

Actually this has come up again for some reason. Modulation is half wa y but having to keep resetting. Tried other software and seems to have similar issue but no way to reset.

Restart seems to help but is really erratic.

In Learning there is no modulation. Is there a way to turn pitch bending off in garageband?
