Why does iMovie not recognize longer clips from Logic Pro?

Hi everyone, I don't use imovie often and there's something that's driving me crazy these days. I made music for a clip and I wanted to add a title with my name at the end. I made the music with logic pro x and exported the clip for the first time. The clip was 2 minutes and 59 seconds long. I imported it into imovie and realized that the music at the end was cut off too abruptly so I went back into logic and re-exported the clip leaving more space at the end so I could let the music fade out properly. Since then, when I go back into imovie, even if the clip I export from logic is 3:10 or 3:30 long, in imovie it always appears as the first version: 2:59 so I can't get the music to fade out as I would like. Why doesn't it recognize the longer versions of the clip and always cuts it off at 2:59? How can I fix this? Thanks.
