MacOS Pages 'export...to PDF' doesn't default to same folder as .pages document

So I create a Pages document in a folder, then when I try 'export to PDF' from the File menu, it does NOT show me the same folder where the original Pages document is saved.

How can I get it to always default to be the same folder?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.4

Pages uses the last saved folder location as the default, whether you are saving a Pages document, or any document type from the Export To panel. There is no user configurable default export location until you change that Export Panel Save… location to the current folder your Pages document is in.
