What kind of notification are you referring to? Not all notifications are immediate. If you get a notification about an email, on the lowest Fetch setting that can be up to 15 minutes since the last time mail was checked. Does this happen on wi-fi only, cellular only, or on both? yes, notifications on cellular are not delayed, only on wifi. they are all 3rd party apps. and yes, i get the notifications but it only pops up on my screen and says '2m ago'
Is this your personal wi-fi network? Do you experience any other issues with the wi-fi? There are a couple of things that you can do. First, reset your network Settings. That will remove all wi-fi passwords on your device, so make sure that you know the passwords of the networks that you use. Go to Settings>General>Transfer or Reset iPhone>Reset>Reset Network Settings. When that is done, restart the iPhone then connect to your wi-fi again. Test. The next would be to restart your modem/router. Disconnect power for about 30 seconds, then plug it in again, then wait for it to complete rebooting and connect your iPhone. Test. This will not affect any of your data.
