How can I sync my music to all my devices?

I plugged my iPhone (SE iOS 18.3.1)to my MacBook pro (15.4 Sequoia) , it backed up, but it says if I want to synch my music to all my devices I should turn off 'Cloud Music Library'

Where is that so I can turn it off and get all my music back on my iPhone?

Is a subscription to Apple Music required to synch owned music to iPhone 14? I just upgraded from an 8 Plus to the 14 Pro. I have 80 gb of music that I have copied from cd's that I own to my MacBook that I have been synching with my iPhone 8 for the last few years. After restoring the new 14 from a backup, I found that all of the songs that I had on my computer would not play on my new phone. Music that I had purchased from Apple did play. After searching this community and the internet and spending about 3hr with apple support on phone and in person at the local Genius Bar, the only thing we could figure out was that you have to have a subscription to Apple Music to transfer the actual music files to my phone so that I can play them. I STRONGLY OBJECT TO THE REQUIREMENT TO SUBSCRIBE TO AN APPLE PRODUCT TO SYNC AND PLAY MUSIC ON MY PHONE THAT I LEGALLY OWN that I have been able to synch in the past. Don't always have internet so access to music on phone is important. Do I have any recourse or is there a way to synch my owned music to my phone?

Access Cloud Music Library to turn off or on? I want to copy/sync my Music library on my iMac, running latest Ventura, which contains purchased and copied from CDs music to my iPhone (up-to-date 13 mini) music library. I get the message that the phone is using Cloud Music Library and I need to turn it off. I cannot find the Cloud Music Library to turn it off. HELP!!! I have been able to get the music over through the cloud before, I have most of what is on the computer already, but I want to add a new CD.

Hi there ,

Do you have a subscription to Apple Music ? Those folks use iCloud Music library .

If not , that's why they told you to turn it off . ( additionally ~ in settings I turned off " show Apple Music) .

If not , you can do it manually . I use " over Wi-Fi " , I connected my device to my computer once , then it will automatically sync when both are on the same network and plugged in . Or you can use USB .
