iPhone 12 Pro iOS 18.4.1 not syncing with Music on my MacBook Pro. I have a subscription to Music, with the a recent update I've lost over half of my uploaded music on my iPhone and playlists. My uploaded music and my playlists are still on the MacBook but I can't seem to get them to sync to the iPhone. Help!

syncing my music libraries it appears that the only way to sync my music library on my iphone to my ipad is to do something totally old fashioned with usb cables and Itunes or to subscribe to Apple Music. I have been subscribed to Apple Music and I have a suspicion that once I didn’t renew, Apple Music cleared the library on the ipad. (I am not sure though). Anyway this is totally unacceptable. Anyone with a modern solution using the hotspot of the iphone and not being obliged to subscribe to apple music?

No sync library option on iPhone or Mac - what next? None of my devices show the option for "sync music" under Settings - Music or under Music app. Do I have to subscribe to Apple Music just to sync my owned music between devices>

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Apps > Music, turn off Sync Library and turn it back on.
