Does using a non-Apple charger affect iPhone warranty and battery health?

What happens if I use a non-Apple charger? Will I still have the warranty on my iPhone? Does it compromise the health of the battery?I was offered a parallel charger, but it will compromise the battery health and the warranty

Well, if the battery blows up, and you are using a non certified Apple charger, you might not have a case when claiming the warranty.

Same if you reverse engineer your car engine and make "modifications".

I think the far easier question to ask yourself is can you afford to replace your iPhone (at cost) should a third-party power adapter and/or charging cable damages your phone? The #1 reason these sell at a lower price point is because they use inferior components. Are you really willing to take that risk?

They can void the warranty. See this excerpt from: Legal - iOS Warranty Canada English - Apple

“This Warranty does not apply… (c) to damage caused by use with a third party component or product that does not meet the Apple Product’s specifications (Apple Product specifications are available at www.apple.com/ca under the technical specifications for each product and also available in stores);”

Oh?! So they do void the warranty, thanks for correcting my info

Just using them will not void the warranty. However, if a third-party charger that does not meet Apple's specifications causes damage, then Apple is not obligated.

What this means in practice is only buy products from reputable vendors. I use chargers by Anker and Belkin. I'm not concerned.

Fair enough, I was surprised because I thought that it works like that, but I think you’ve read my mind and have corrected what I have likely misunderstood, thanks

You are safe if you use power sources and cables (yes, both) that are certified as Made for iPhone.

Two videos, worth watching:

My final recommendation: don't buy cheap adapters. While unlikely, things can go wrong and can go badly wrong (melting phones, batteries, fire). It's not worth it. If you're going to spend $600-$1200 on a phone, pay the $30-$40 for a decent adapter.
