Why can't I move folders on MacBook Air 11 desktop?

Hello. Having some issues with my Mac 11. When I try to drag folders on the desktop, it does not allow me to move them but automatically bounds back to the right side of screen. Any ideas? I always tried trackpad setting but does not seem to work. Thank you!

Stacking files and folders on desktop Files and folders stacks on top of each other in the top right corner when moved or just created. And I've tried multiple suggestions by clicking 'Snap to Grid', sorting by whatever, and going into 'Show View Options' as well. It only gets fixed momentarily and the problem comes back. It's quite annoying to be on the Macbook Pro, when it does this all the time. And it's been several updates since it first started. And the issue hasn't been resolved yet.
