How do I ensure shared Apple list updates are synced between my partner's and my devices?

How do I share my apple list for joint dates with my partner. We used to have this facility but now it seems that any amendment she makes is not transferred to my devices. It works fine the other way round, I.e. changes I make show up on her devices
