How to prevent Safari from deleting cookies when opening Web Inspector on macOS Sequoia?

I originally reported this issue back in October 2023, but unfortunately nothing has changed since then.

On the latest versions of Safari and macOS Sequoia, opening the Web Inspector still triggers the deletion of all cookies. This means being logged out of every active session instantly - including Google, dev platforms, and any website relying on cookies. This behavior is highly disruptive and makes Safari unusable for professional work.

The bug does not occur in other browsers (Chrome, Firefox), and I’ve confirmed it persists even after a clean install.

Is Apple aware of this issue? Is a fix planned?

It’s been many months and this is still breaking basic functionality for developers.

Would appreciate any updates from Apple or workarounds from the community.
