I’m having exactly the same issue. Not only do I have apple premier which allows me to use any track in Apple Music, I also purchased a track to play as an alarm and downloaded it to the phone and it still does not work. The alarm just plays the default tone.

It doesn’t work on my brand new iPad Pro either but it DOES work from my wife’s phone. All devices are on latest firmware.

There is another thread on here that has tens of thousands of #MeToo hands up and it dates back to about 2020. Apple are clearly not interested in fixing it.

Explain that one? It means there is no bug to fix since it works on your wife’s phone. I just set up an alarm in the Clock App, selected a song. saved it. It worked, no issue.

iPhone 16 Pro iOS 18.5, it just works.

Which version of iOS is she running? Which version are you running?
