Safari Crashes When Using Autofill Credit Card on macOS

I've been using Macs for over a decade and Safari has always been my preferred browser. However, for over a year now, Safari consistently crashes whenever I try to use Autofill to input credit card information. As soon as I trigger Autofill during checkout, I get the beach ball of death and Safari becomes unresponsive. Sometimes I can force quit, but often the whole system lags until I reboot.

I've tried:

• Reinstalling macOS (clean install)
• Deleting and re-entering all credit card data
• Using multiple Macs across different generations

The problem persists no matter what I do. Restarting temporarily helps, but the issue always returns after a few hours.

I'm on the latest version of macOS Sequoia and Safari.

Would appreciate any help or guidance. I really don't want to have to switch browsers over this.
