Cannot log in to websites through Safari

Using known usernames and passwords, Safari will not allow me to log into websites... always reverting me back to the login page, even when those same logins work fine with Firefox and other browsers.

I also have a desktop (new Mac mini with latest version of Sonoma) and once signed in, most websites do not require another sign in unless I sign out. How can I fix the laptop? Safari keeps logging out of websites Since iOS 16, safari has been periodically clearing login cookies. It happens every 5 days or so. It means my google login logs out and other sites (eg macrumors forum) lose my login. Does anyone know if there’s something I can do to make the logins persistent again?

website not working in safari. Hey there, I have tried so many times to login my website in safari browser but it won't. other browser working perfectly like chrome Firefox etc..... i have Mackbook pro 2015, plz resolve this issue... Thanks

This post appears to have a good series of troubleshooting steps. One user commented that they had accidentally set their browser to never accept cookies.
