How to remove grey shading under app names in iOS 18 for accessibility?

Can I disable the shading under app names?? iOS18 my mum is partially sighted and her settings are really important to her. This feature appeared out of nowhere, I’m try to get back to no grey shades

You could try...


Option 1:

Settings App > Accessibility > Per-App Settings > Add App

And then for each app, customise the REDUCE TRANSPARENCY, and see if that works?

Quite a long stepped process :(


Option 2:

When adding the wallpapers, the depth effect on iOS18 can affect the grey shapes under the text...

Go to Settings App > Wallpapers > Customise Wallpapers, and then click the three dots at the bottom of the wallpaper screen, and depth effect should come up.



Hope you find a solution :)
