Windows.app not updating through Apple App Store...

Hi,

I have an almost brand new Macbook Pro M4 running macOS 15.3.2 (24D81). I am able to be notified and install updates to several third part applications, through the App Store without any issues. However, the Windows.app installed on my system seems to be excluded from this. When I know for a fact an update is available, no notification appears in the App Store. If I search for the Windows.app in the Store, it comes up with a button saying "Open". So, macOS seems to be aware it's installed but no update is available. However, if I click on the details of the app in the store, the button changes to "Update". This behaviour is completely consistent.

I have had a support case open with Apple about this for several weeks now and they seem to just keep asking me to run Data Collect, upload the logs and send a screen recording of the issue, which I have now done three times!

Has anyone else noticed this issue at all, with any of their apps?

Another month and another round of updates from Microsoft, including one for the Windows.app and, despite updating the app last month through the App Store, yet again, the Windows.app is not identified in the "Updates" group in the app store, despite there being other apps available for update, including Microsoft To Do. However, when I search for the Windows.app in the store the App Store app, again, identifies I have the app already installed, as the button says "Open". But it doesn't say it has an update, until I click on the name of the app in the store. Only then does the button change to "Update". Exactly the same problem as last month.
