on my iphone 13 on ios 18it seems have to to double click anything to make a change. also phone is asking me to update to 18.4.1 but will only do the update through wifi. its band new with no damage.

Double-clicking is not required for all actions, only certain actions, such as confirming a purchase or payment.
Double-clicking is so you don't accidentally perform that action. Your iPhone requires a strong Wi-Fi connection to update.
What "changes" are you trying to make that require "double clicking", and what exactly are you "double clicking"...

a lot of the time I don't have to double click so is supposed to be a feature or what and if so is there a setting to change such?
