Music stops playing when sleeping iPhone after iOS 15 update

Why didn’t anyone care to answer this relevant question from many of us; I just updated to iOS 15 today and every time I shut my phone off the music stops. Or really I can’t hear the music playing but the song is still playing. Only with my screen off. If I let the screen shut off by itself audio stops. I tried restarting it and force quitting the app

I'm not sure what you mean by why no one bothered to answer this question? What iPhone do you own? Your tag line suggests iPhone 16 Pro Max on iOS 18, you say you updated to iOS 15?

What Music app are you using? If Apple Music, do you have a paid subscription? If you have a paid subscription, even if the screen goes to sleep, the music should continue playing.
