How do I fix input monitoring not working in Logic Pro?

Hi all,

I'm here because I've tried everything I know and nothing has worked. I can't hear a record toggled track with input monitoring toggled as well in the stereo track (or bus, or other output). See here: https://imgur.com/a/2xsAtGb

I get a signal on my track but that signal doesn't go to any track that it's patched to. I can hear everything else on any session and if I do record then I can listen to what I recorded but I can't hear it while recording. I had to cancel a studio session yesterday and send a singer back home (she lives 2 hours away, not great).

What I've done:

  • Unchecked "Auto Input Monitoring"
  • Reset all logic settings
  • Reinstalled Logic
  • Update Mac OS to Sonoma 14.7.5
  • Updated Logic to 11.1.2
  • Tried different audio interfaces
  • Tried on old and new sessions

What am I missing? I feel like I'm pouring water from a bottle in a glass, I see the water going in the glass but then the glass stays empty. It's driving me insane.

Thank you

What about "software monitoring"...it seems you have it off on your pictures?
