Why am I not receiving macOS update notifications on my Macbook Air?

I have Macbook Air using Ventura. I am used to getting a note in my apple menu when these is an update available. This is not happening any more. Have I inadvertently changed something so this does not happen.

What mac model do you have, exactly?

And, of course, what version of macOS do you currently have?

From the Apple menu, choose About this Mac, and then tell us the name and year (e.g. "MacBook Air, early 2017"), and what version (e.g. "macOS Ventura 13.7.4").
