iPhone 16 Pro Max lagging after iOS 18.4 update

I updated to 18.4 on my 16 Pro Max when it released and since then my phone has been extremely laggy and freezing up on basic things like typing or scrolling through the Home Screen and app switcher. I’ve restarted my phone multiple times and it doesn’t help. No excuse for a phone of this price range

I have exactly the same issues on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, stuttering and slower than usual - is it defective?

I already did a clean DFU install without any iCloud Backup - also did an Apple Diagnostic Test, no Error, what can that be?

Report this to Apple...

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
