"Safari won't open yahoo.com mail because server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometime occurs. Try Again" I have tried several times and no Safari.
I'm on a MacPro laptop. It can open instagram. I have done a system restart. It all started after a safari software update two days ago. I am running Sonoma 14.7.5 OS.

Clear Safari history and caches:
Then boot into Safe Mode to clear system caches:
Then try again.
Any ad-blockers, add-on security apps, or “coffee shop” VPN clients installed?
If so, remove all of them, restart, and test again.
I just wanted to end this discussion with a solution I found. I just updated the OS and installed Sequoia. I always thought this update would take a lot of room but it didn't. Happy to have Safari back. Thanks community.
On the Safari version I have, V18.4, I don't have a preferences choice on the Safari dropdown menu. But I did find that I am not running adblockers or extensions. Any more ideas? Thanks
