I recently updated my device to iOS 18.4 and noticed an unusual behavior with battery charging. Despite setting battery optimization to 100%, my phone stops charging once it reaches 80%.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, is there a known solution or workaround to ensure the device charges fully to 100%?
I would appreciate any insights or recommendations.

Here’s my screenshot. My battery charges to 100% but because I have Optimized Battery Charging enabled, it pauses at 80% and holds. It charges to 100% starting an hour or two before it knows I’m waking up. This slightly improves overall battery life.
If you just want it to charge to 100%, disable Optimized Battery Charging.

Your phone is doing what it's designed to do. I'm going to guess you are using a fast charger (20w or higher) and your phone will charge to 80%, then stop until just before you get up in the morning, where it will charge from 80% to 100%. iPhone has machine learning, which learns from your charging habits. The conventional wisdom is to plug your phone into charge when you go to bed at night, leaving it plugged in all night EVERY night and your phone will analyze your charging habits and adjust the charge cycle accordingly.
