How do I enable passcode lock for hidden photos folder instead of Face ID on iPhone?

I am not given the option to use a passcode on my hidden folder, only Face ID despite others saying there is/was a password option in the past. It was working with a passcode for a few days but automatically switched back to face id despite me disabling it and now when I shut off Face ID the hidden folder opens without any sort of access barrier.

When face id fails twice the next option is to enter your passcode.

Your answer made perfect sense to me and was, under the circumstances, the best available.

I've noticed that sometimes, if you don't phrase the answer as "No, you can't do that, but here are your options," people think that you either read the question wrong or that you are keeping the real answer a secret.

Thank you for that perspective, I will definitely add that to my answer going forward.

Do you say the same thing to your doctors, attorney, mechanics etc.....

I asked a friend to give me a $Million Dollars. They said they couldn't. Their answer wasn't helpful! 😂

You have to find humor where you can! Our water heater kind of blew up, after only 5 years and the plumber is on his way to get a new water heater to install this afternoon. I could have used that money, as water heaters aren't inexpensive $$$$.
