Touch Input Issues on iPhone 16 Pro Max Keyboard Edges

Hello everyone,

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 14 Pro Max (which I used for about a year without installing iOS 18) to a new iPhone 16 Pro Max running iOS 18.4.

The Issue

I'm experiencing problems with touch input near the edges of the keyboard. I was previously able to type almost without looking at the keys on my old device, but with the new iPhone, I've repeatedly entered incorrect passwords and noticed that touches near the edges of the screen seem unresponsive - almost like there's a "dead zone" that doesn't register my input.

What I've Tried

Since the phone is new, I ran the built-in Diagnostic test to check if the touchscreen was functioning properly near the edges. According to the test, there's no problem - the touch response works perfectly even when tapping very close to the phone's frame.

I also tested the keyboard specifically during the WiFi setup section of the Diagnostic tool. Again, tapping on keys near the corners registered without any issues.

My Question

Is there a way to resolve this issue? The typing experience has become quite frustrating compared to my previous phone.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

By the way, I believe this issue is related to the iOS version. I've tested on two different devices(iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 Pro Max) running iOS 18 and encountered the same problem on both.
