How to fix dark grey cursor in Final Cut Pro on MacBook Pro?

I am unsure what is causing this issue - one interesting fact is that by making the mouse comically large in the pointer settings, the border will turn to white again, but only when the mouse is 4x+ the standard size.

This dark grey cursor makes all workflow slower, as the dark grey mouse is hard to locate against the dark UI of FCPx, or any other platform i may have open.

This issue has persisted across software updates.

try changing the pointer color (cursor)...and compare your results

Which MBP is this, which OS, and FCP version?

When you jiggle the mouse to increase the size, does the appearance of the pointer change?

That is weird. It's not your monitor readjusting brightness automatically?
