Why does my Music app crash when I try to drag songs into a playlist?

Sometimes i downloaded music for years and i put it on pen drives. I found an album i forgot a had on a pendrive and i put on my music app. But whenever i try to drank a song from that album on a playlist, the app crashes. So i deleted the MP3 album thinking that it might be dangerous.

Is this anything i should be alarmed about? Do you think those MP3s were infected with virus or malware or something??
