Photos not recognizing that iPod touch is unlocked.

I'm trying to import a lot of old photos from an iPod touch to my MacBook Pro 2023/24 not sure. The Photos app however keeps telling me that the iPod is locked when it's not, even if I relook and unlock it again. The iPod in general works fine, and so does my Mac. I tried restarting both devices, my MacOS is up to date and the iPod is visible and accessible within the finder. Not sure what to do, I just want the photos back on my newer device.

iPod 4th Generation flashing the Apple screen I have an iPod fourth generation that is flashing the apple screen, turning white then shutting off and keeps repeating this problem over and over. I have tried many different things like trying to restore it and using a program called iMyFone that is supposed to help it get out of recovery mode and that flashing screen. But when I start the process, it keeps on flashing then it turns white and then it turns off canceling the restoring process. I took it to a place that can try to fix it but they did nothing to help it. All I want is the photos from the iPod because they have memories to it and I would do anything to see them again. iMac will NOT recognise iPhone 6S !? Concerns: "If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone or iPad". I checked all steps on this webpage, but still my iMac (late 2013, macOS Catalina 10.15.7) will not recognize my iPhone6S (OS 15.7.1). When directly connecting with a USB cable, the Photo app immediately starts up and after some time it (sometimes!) shows all photos on my iPhone, so there must be some occasional or temporary connection between both. My iPhone shows in the Music App, but when selecting the iPhone, it shows contents but will not properlly sync. Last time it synced, a number of my songs will no longer play (due to "content not available in your country", which is BS of course because they all played fine during the last years! The iPhone however does not show in Finder windows. I can allso find the iMac on my iPhone if I want to airdrop a picture from my iPhone, but it takes a very long time before it actually drops.

Photos on iPod I have a very old iPod and I have over 14,000 pictures on it, I cannot transfer them to a computer, when I open the DCIM folder it say there are no files however I have over 20gb of photos on it. I really want to transfer them because I recently both my dogs a month apart and there are literally hundreds of photos of them on this iPod. Is there any way I can transfer them, iTunes does not recognize the iPod and I think its because it is so old, tech has moved on. I tried transferring them to the Photo stream but I cannot transfer them there either, and I cannot air drop them, the only thing I have managed to do is email a few to myself but with so many it would take me years of constant emailing. I would really love to get those photos onto my computer or at least another hard drive because I am worried the iPod is going to fail one day and they will be lost forever. Can anyone help please Lee D
