Unable to get notifications from Apple Podcast on my new Mac.

I didn't get notifications from Apple podcast app on my new Mac, but I solved the problem with a tip from Reddit. You need to subscribe to a new podcast for the notification banner to pop up. And then you can follow the Apple guideline regarding podcast notifications.

podcasts stop playing with notifications My podcasts keep randomly stopping with notifications. I turned the notifications off and it still occurs. Very annoying. It just started in the last couple weeks. Typically with texts, email and voice mail/text notification. I have turned the notifications off and still happens. I have to say the operation with the iPhones in the last year and half really sucks. New things that keep making it inconvenient.
