I have set the screen time for my son's iphone. When the time is up he can simply switch off the phone and when turning it back on the blocked apps are open to use for about 30 seconds. When he opens an app during that time the screen time does not block it. Device is iphone SE, update to ios 18.3.2. did not resolve the issue.
Any views how that glitch can be adressed?

No one in this user-to-user forum can answer a question that begins with “why”.
If he can only use it for 30 seconds that doesn’t sound like a problem.
However you should update to 18.4.
