Stop pinch to zoom in Safari MacOS

It is really annoying that when you are using Safari on Mac, one inadvertently zooms so that all the tabs in the window go small. I find this irritating. I don't want to turn off pinch to zoom at a system level, but only at a Safari level, and even then I want to turn off this silly make all windows in a window tiny. It does not suit my workflow.

Why doesn't Safari zoom to full width like other apps? Why is it that Safari will only zoom vertically but not horizontally? This drives me crazy! I don't like using the full-screen zoom where the menu bar disappears, like when you click the green finder window button. I want it to zoom to the full-screen size but leave the menu bar visible. Safari zoom jumps too big - how to change the defaults? So how can you change this to 10% jumps instead? The 100-85% and 100-115% are too big jumps; it makes the page look crooked. I recently switched from Chrome to Safari for stability, but now it is a sore in my eyes with this :/ Customizing this to 10% jumps should be possible instead; please add this for future updates. Back in the days this option was possible in terminal, but not anymore: defaults write com.apple.Safari DefaultPageZoom "1.10" Safari options: Chrome options: Here you can see the difference between a 110% and 115% zoom that safari has. Chrome is all smooth while Safari looks rough around the edges. Same issue when going from 100-85% on Safari, where it looks smoother with 100-90% on Chrome.
