Updating OS Mojave to Catalina

Having trouble updating OS Mojave 10.14.6. I need to go up to at least go to OS Catalina 10.15.7 and I keep getting an error. I have more than enough memory, and it just says error every time I try to update. Please help.

Error message when trying to install macOS Catalina ("This copy of the Install...application is damaged...) I'm trying to install macOS Catalina (in place of Mojave) on my MacBook Pro. Where are you getting the installer from - the App Store? What exactly happens when you go to install, when does the error happen and what is the error?
