CarPlay not working after iOS 18.3.2 update

My phone was updated to iOS 18.3.2 last night and ever since my apple car play won’t work. My car recognises the device through wireless Bluetooth however I’m not able to use apple car play. This happened before and resolved with an update but now I’m back to square one

Same here. Tried a diff phone (work phone) and it connected. Tried restarting, tried a diff cord, tried forgetting the car and now it can’t find it at all.

Same for me. In addition to this I can't connect to my airpods. I have been trying to with two different sets of airpods. I did all the tutorial stuff like restart, reset settings, airplane mode, bluetooth on/off, etc. I then did forget devices and now I can't pair them back with my phone.

Same here... I have iphone mini 12 with ios 8.3.2 and I drive a BYD Dolphin. Previously (7 months of ownership), I have never encountered any issue with the apple carplay. But since 8.3.2, I have encountered connection issues twice. Tried forgetting device and re-pairing without any success. The only that works in both situations I encountered were : restarting both my iphone and resetting my infotainment system.

Exact same thing here. My 16 Pro has iOS 18.3.2 and connects through Bluetooth (media+tel), but can't connect with CarPlay. My wife has the exact same 16 Pro, but still with iOS 18.3.1 and her phone connects without any issues.

We're not connecting with a cable, all wireless. Brand new BMW X1 with latest iDrive version.

Here’s a couple of steps that worked for me when CarPlay stopped connecting after an iOS update:

Restart both your iPhone and Car: Sometimes, a simple reboot of both devices can fix any temporary connection issues.

Forget and Reconnect the Car’s Bluetooth: Go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone, tap the “i” next to your car’s name, and select “Forget This Device.” Then, reconnect it by pairing the devices again.

Check CarPlay Settings: Make sure that CarPlay is enabled on your iPhone. Go to Settings > General > CarPlayand see if your car is listed. If it is, tap on it and select “Forget This Car,” then try reconnecting again.

Check for Updates: Sometimes, an iOS update can cause temporary bugs, but Apple usually rolls out fixes quickly. Make sure you're on the latest version of iOS by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

Reset Network Settings: If all else fails, you can try resetting your network settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset and choose Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind this will reset Wi-Fi passwords, Bluetooth connections, and VPN settings, so you'll need to reconfigure them.

Check your Car's System: Make sure your car’s software is up to date as well. Some cars need firmware updates to fully support the latest iOS versions.

If you’ve tried all of this and it still isn’t working, it might be worth reaching out to Apple Support or your car’s dealership to see if they have any additional suggestions or if there’s an issue with the update itself.
